My experience with blue cross blue shield was very interesting. I applied for blue cross blue shield through a company I was working for. one benefit I liked was how affordable it was and it was taken right out of my check, so that was great. I also liked that I could add my son to my account. What I didn't like was the deductible, I felt like every service I got, I always had a bill. Then it is so hard to cancel blue cross blue shield which I did not enjoy. Trying to Reach customer service is terrible. When I lost my job I had to cancel my insurance with blue cross blue shield and it was a tedious experience that lasted for months. Everytime I was told that it was canceled it was not. I had to keep calling and canceling the service. I kept getting all these bills and it was just so annoying. Overall the benefits were okay. I would not recommend them. I am sure there are better service with insurances but it sucks because blue cross blue shield most doctors take. If you do decide to use it I would make sure you get as much information as possible and make sure you get a confirmation email or letter.
